Task: to make a two days installation in the Architecture school with certain material provided by element labs; a manufacture LED technology for entertainment, architectural, and signage applications.

Location: Stair case Architecture School. Hochschule Wismar.Germany.

Our site is the tallest construction in the area (about 23 m high), visible from almost anywhere around, so we had to consider this special feature for our concept.
Besides this, the architecture of the staircase tower limited the posibilities to place the tiles.
We decided to turn this to our advantage and chose a dynamic positioning – only with vertical and diagonal lines. Our light installation also takes in consideration the architecture of the site.
The installation is visible only from outside.

> Neuruppin.

Task: Concept design and light instalation.
Location: Neuruppin, Germany.

Street which links both buildings.

Museum.

Workshop sponsored by ELDA+. Our task was divided in 3 elements; to iluminate the Gymnasium, the museum and the street which links both buildings, improving the current instalation, and giving to the habitants a new view from those buildings.

.

The concept for this link, was first the creation of smallseas on the main plaza, and in some way link it with the main street to lead the people through a blue light. For this porpose, was necessary the use of narrow-beam-luminaires projected into mirrors to creat zig zaged lines.

Then, the sea current would flow to the main sea (main street) which was made by HIT lamps with blue filters combined with aluminum mobiles to create reflections simulating waves along the street. November, 2006

Description: Exterior and interior lighting design for a high class residential project with 5 buildings (50 units).

My task: - Development of the project from the last phase of the concept until the construction phase.
- Lighting calculations, luminaire selection, presentations for clients, luminaire specifications, as well as development of a special feature for the parking garage area and technical details for the construction plans.
- For the second phase a club lounge and a spa where added to the complex.

> Mineral museum, Freiberg.

Subject: Design Project ( group work: 4 people).
Consultant: Prof. Michael Rohde.
Duration: 1 semester( 4 months).

The lighting design concept was derived from the process of getting the mineral from a mine.
The main concept is to make the gradation of illuminance from a low lux level on the ground floor to a higher lux level in the upper floors. Therefore, the last floor would have the highest lux level from all the project. Moreover, the types of displayed minerals will be consistent with the brightness.

For example, on the ground floor, there will be the opaque minerals and will be clearer and more sparkle in the upper floor. The use of relux was necessary to make the calculations and selection of the lamps and luminaires.

> Luminaire Design.

Task: to design and build a luminaire according to our needs, personality and taste, suitable to a specific place.
Location: student dormitory.

The light source provided in this room is a fluorescent lamp which emits white cold light. Indeed, a fluorescent lamp is a perfect solution to avoid shadows and become an ideal light source for a working place, but for a living space it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere.

For that reason, i decided to design a suspended luminaire, specifically for this space, which provides warmer light creating also a warmer atmosphere.

To obtain this effect, i used an incandescent light source (linestra) and the measures of the luminare are 10x10x50 cms.

> Wünschlichte: workshop at Marktplatz Wismar.

Task: Light installation with natural elements.
Location: Marktplatz, Wismar.

Mountain of wishes.



Marktplatz Wismar.


Wünschlichte, light of wishes, was the workshop about natural lightinstallation. Candle light and bonfire played an important role in this project.
As it name says, Wünchlichte lets the people get involved with the instalation and also interact with the other citizens and students.
Each pedestrian gets a cup ofcandle and write down a wish, then, the candle is layed on the ground creating a mountain of light and wishes. October 2006.
